HPV is the abbreviation of human papilloma virus. It belongs to a genus of papillomavirus a in the family lactaviridae. It is a sexually transmitted disease caused by spherical DNA virus infection. The main types are HPV1, 2, 6, 11, 16, 18, 31, 33 and 35. The long-term infection of HPV16 and 18 may be related to cervical cancer in women.
The main infection area of the virus is human epidermis and mucosa squamous epithelium. Up to now, more than 130 kinds of virus have been isolated. The virus only invades human and has no pathogenicity to other animals.
